ITEG (PMO CIO office)
role is responsible in the planning, development and delivery of ICT
program and projects. It also includes providing consultancy advice and
support to the departments under the Prime Minister’s Office in matters
related to ICT implementation.
The Overall Government Chief Information (OGCIO) Office is comprised of the following sections and is responsible for the following:
Strategy, Policy & International
- Management and monitoring of e-Government KPIs
- Review and renew e-Government Strategic Plan
- Management of strategic IT policies
- Management of International matters pertaining to areas within Information Technology
E-Government Promotion Unit
- To
develop, monitor and provide consultancy advise on matters pertaining
to the official websites of the Government of Brunei Darussalam; which
are websites of ministries, departments and statutory board
- To
act as a central body in marketing, promotional, raising awareness of
the Government of Brunei Darussalam information, announcement, services
and activities to the general public
- To monitor and provide consultancy advise on the use of social media for the government agencies
- To
provide consultancy advice and ensure all the websites, online
services, social media and mobile applications provided by the
Government of Brunei Darussalam to the general public, head towards a
more user-friendly design concept and structure, up-to-date information
and follow international best practices
The CIO Office overlooks the following areas of responsibilities:
Business Analysis
IT Asset
Managing and monitoring of IT requests and budget, procurement activities and project monitoring
Service Assurance
Quality
assurance and monitoring of service utilization for such services like
OGN and other online services. Service Assurance team will be in close
collaboration with the Operations & Infrastructure Division and the
Service Management Division at EGNC HQ to provide management and support
in the following areas:
- Application Support
- End-User Support
- Infrastructure & Network Administration
- Infrastructure and Infostructure Security
Application Development
