Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebrations this year will be one long remembered for more than ten thousand seven hundred people of various categories in the country.

The caring attitude and generosity of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam brought special joy to them, when His Majesty's four sons this morning presented His Majesty's personal gifts to recipients simultaneously in the four districts.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saiffudien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has expressed appreciation on the warm, friendly relations shared between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. His Majesty was confident that such ties would continue to deepen not only in terms of bilateral affairs, but also in the regional and international arena.

By command of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Finance informs that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to appointment of Yang Mulia Awang Yusof bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Administration) at the Ministry of Finance to be seconded as the Managing Director of the Brunei Islamic Trust Fund, TAIB with his position as Deputy Permanent Secretary still retained.

By Command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office hereby announces that His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the appointment of Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam DCP Dato Paduka Haji Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Haji Sabtu, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operation) as temporary Acting Commissioner of Police.

Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah celebrated the achievements of 61 of its students with an award ceremony held at Dewan Takaful Dar Takaful IBB Utama in the capital.

The school fetes excellence in both academic and in memorising Al-Quran every year, as a motivation that would create an environment of competition and improve the school's achievement.
