His Majesty's congratulatory messages to His Excellency Nguyen Minh Triet
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saiffudien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has expressed appreciation on the warm, friendly relations shared between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has sent congratulatory messages to Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XIII of Malaysia, and Prime Minister Dato' Sri Muhd Najib Tun Hj Abdul Razak on the occasion of its 53rd Independence Day today.
In the message to Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, His Majesty expressed that he greatly values the longstanding friendship and close cooperation that has existed between Brunei and Malaysia.

Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah celebrated the achievements of 61 of its students with an award ceremony held at Dewan Takaful Dar Takaful IBB Utama in the capital.
The school fetes excellence in both academic and in memorising Al-Quran every year, as a motivation that would create an environment of competition and improve the school's achievement.
